Hi, I'm Ruth Edelson, and I would like to explain the inspiration for my mystical eye. We have enjoyed spending memorable vacations in Sun Valley, Idaho, where the landscape is imprinted with its aspen trees whose smooth leaves flicker in the sunlight  in contrast to the trees unique, deeply textured bark. This one tree I encountered almost became a totem tree with a full face and an eye that was particularly remarkable, which provided the inspiration of this piece. I hope you enjoy.
